Lilith's Curse 1984 | A Game You CAN'T Win

Hey @Koniipinka! A couple things I wanted to say as I end up being very critical in the video and don’t want to just come across as a dick -

• The game spends too long in the dark - one hallway of pitch darkness with light at the end would be fine, but the beginning section is a bit much and feels frustrating more than scary. Yes you can follow the signs, but there’s no reason you can’t brighten the game up just enough to be able to see a short distance ahead and to get a vague idea of the level layout.
• The demo is short, but you NEED to add checkpoints; not only is the beginning not fun to play but doing it a second time is going to turn players off.
• I don’t know if my game was bugged, but your first enemy encounter with the coffin punishes players for following your instructions. That’s an immediate “turn it off and never play it again” situation that needs to be fixed. You just can’t ship a game that does that. If backing up gets me killed, and hiding in the coffin gets me killed, why would I play the game a 3rd time?

Those are the main 3 things. Your presentation is good and it’s clear you have talent, but your game won’t have the impact you’re looking for if you don’t redesign some elements of it.

And I understand game dev is hard and it’s easy for me to say “this doesn’t work” or “this needs to change” but unfortunately it’s just as important to think of the end user experience in all their ignorance as it is to fulfil your own vision.

But that’s it from me. Keep it up, and hopefully the full release is DARN good!

Great demo, had  fun playing it. The visuals are good, and the game has some effective scares. The mechanics are also pretty solid. Good job!

Great game!!  I will definitely wait to play the full version.

Pretty good for a demo, even if I don't much like hide-and-seek style horror games. I liked it up to the point where the threat appears, especially the camera mechanic. It's so easy to just throw a battery meter on it and call it a day, but making the three viewing modes function differently gives a good reason not to just put on night vision and keep it there. I'll give it another try, but starting all the way over on death might keep me from seeing the demo all the way through. Definitely one to keep on eye on, though.

Hey dude thought the game was pretty cool, pretty atmospheric too 

Honestly really cool horror game there were some sound bugs every now and then like when getting in a coffin in the basement but other than that i loved it really got some outlast feeling out of it got a little video with no commentary if you wanna watch but definitely check the game out its short and worth a try.

Very solid horror games with great atmosphere and scares, i have enjoyed the camera system and the night vision was well designed same with the environment. Thank you for making this! 1st game.

I really liked this. I loved the environment, visuals and map design and just how the game looked overall. The background noises were well done, It had great ambiance. Perfect jumpscare timing. I can't think of any complaints off the top of my head. You did a good job!.
